My name is Ellen Whitefield and I am a Level 7 Specialist Dyslexia Teacher and Assessor. I offer diagnostic dyslexia assessments from either my home in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, or at your home.I assess children from the age of 8 - 15 years.

As well as offering a formal diagnosis (where applicable), the assessments are designed to uncover strengths and challenges, informing the development of personalised strategies and recommendations to be put in place at home and at school. ​

Dyslexia Assessments
I offer comprehensive diagnostic dyslexia assessments which involve the collection of background information from the family and school, as well as a range of tests to assess various literacy and cognitive skills. I provide detailed reports outlining the findings and recommendations for support, as well as confirmation of a diagnosis of dyslexia where relevant.

What happens next?
Once the assessment is booked, I will first collect background information from the child's family and the child's school. The assessment will take place at either my home in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, or at the child's school. The sessions usually last 3-4 hours. I am APC registered which means the report will be valid (under current legislation) for Disabled Students Allowance.
